Abstract: This article examines the complexities involved in managing the school building delivery process in
post-conflict Iraq. Rebuilding educational infrastructure is vital for Iraq’s societal recovery and future
development, yet it faces numerous challenges including security risks, resource constraints,
stakeholder coordination difficulties, and capacity limitations. Through a mixed-method approach
incorporating stakeholder interviews, project case studies, and document analysis, this study identifies
key challenges and effective management strategies that contribute to successful school construction
projects. The findings highlight the importance of transparent procurement, community engagement,
adaptable design, and capacity building. The article concludes with policy recommendations to
strengthen institutional frameworks and foster sustainable, resilient educational infrastructure
development critical for Iraq’s long-term stability and growth. |
