|

Abstract: This paper clarifies the design of an instructional portfolio system for organizing History and
Geography teaching in primary schools under an experiential learning approach, in order to meet the
requirements for developing students’ qualities and competencies in accordance with Vietnam’s 2018
General Education Curriculum. The portfolio system is viewed as an integrated pedagogical toolkit
that supports teachers in coherently planning and orchestrating the entire teaching-learning process:
from developing an overarching instructional plan; designing plans for experiential learning activities;
preparing worksheets, assessment tools, and criteria; compiling summary templates for aggregating
and processing outcomes; to designing lesson plans. The study combines theoretical research methods,
a current-situation survey, and mathematical statistics to collect and analyze data from several primary
schools in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. |
