Abstract: Teaching mathematics through real-world contexts helps students recognize that mathematics
originates from real life and, in turn, serves real-life needs. When learning mathematics in connection
with practical situations, students are able to apply mathematical knowledge to solve real-life
problems. This paper proposes a process for teaching Grade 5 Mathematics through real-world
contexts and presents illustrative examples following the proposed process. |
