Title: VIETNAM–JAPAN HIGHER EDUCATION COOPERATION (1973-2025): A HALFCENTURY REVIEW |
Authors: Truong, Thùy Dung |
Abstract: More than 50 years after Vietnam and Japan officially established diplomatic relations in 1973, the
bond between the two countries has grown increasingly intense. Various forms of cooperation—
political, diplomatic, economic, and cultural—have significantly contributed to this close relationship.
Among these, educational cooperation, particularly in higher education, has emerged as one of the
"pillars" supporting the collaboration between the two nations. Examining higher education
cooperation activities between Vietnam and Japan over the past 50 years (1973-2023) reveals not only
the consistent effort of the two nations in promoting this field but also sheds light on the importance
and role that educational cooperation has played in shaping the relationship between the two countries
throughout the decades. |
